Apolo Group benefits from 20% lower development cost thanks to Prospera’s pro-business jurisdiction
ROATÁN, Honduras.- Apolo Group, a renowned Honduran developer, has started the construction of the first tower of the Duna Residences, an all-inclusive mixed-use real estate development that will benefit from Próspera’s unrivalled business ecosystem. The construction sets the landmark for the initial phase of this complex located in Roatan Próspera.
Duna Tower 1 will be a 14-story building that will host 85 apartments, 3 levels of collaborative office spaces and parking, in addition to podium retail plaza. 35% of commercial space has already been reserved. The building is planned to be delivered by October 2022 and it is the first tower out of four that was announced earlier this year.
Erick Pitsikalis, CEO of Apolo Group stated that: “We are excited to start this real-estate project in Próspera. Their competitive framework allowed us to save time, reduce risk and therefore lower costs by around 20%, which will allow us to pass savings on to future Duna residents.”
Around 300 direct jobs will be generated during the construction phase with materials mostly obtained from local providers. An environmental impact assessment analysis has also been carried out by local Honduran experts to ensure the project’s sustainability.
“We are very enthusiastic to see this project become a reality. Duna residences will not only provide new affordable housing options for young professionals to live in, but also collaborative spaces for new businesses to start and grow.”, said Angela Sosa, Corporate Affairs Manager for Honduras Próspera Inc.
